Nonetheless, if she had time, Jenn's "perfect day" routine would include: morning exercise, playtime with the kitties, sewing and TV, lunch with best friends, afternoon shopping, then an evening concert of her own music, followed by a late night scary movie at the theater.
"I enjoy going out to the movies," she says enthusiastically. "I'm sort of a movie freak, and collect DVDs more than CDs. I love scary movies and action thrillers the most. My favorite TV shows are Family Guy, House, and Project Runway."
Currently, Jenn is musical director at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Ocoee, Florida. She tells CyberSpacers: "I sing in two bands all over America, perform and minister at The Holy Land Experience in Orlando. I also teach private voice lessons, and continue to write and record more songs for a solo album."
Although she's written rock, pop, blues, adult contemporary and country music- with her unwavering faith we had to ask about Contemporary Christian Music. According to Jenn:
"I am considering a CCM career. But regardless of the genre of music I end up doing, I will always be a Christian in the music business."
Jennifer McGill's songwriting is heartfelt, and personal. "Through my writing, I get lots of my frustrations out about love, missed opportunities, and hopes and dreams I still have for my life. I see a beautiful sadness in songs that tell stories of loss and pain, and I confess I love a good You-Done-Me-Wrong song with lots of attitude.
"Therefore, many of my songs turn out to be those types of songs. I sometimes write about other people's stories, but my songs are mostly autobiographical.
