* NOTE TO EDUCATORS
CyberSpacers' school program - L.E.A.R.N. - is a five-day guideline
for classroom study and discussion relating to the uses of the Internet. Structured with the assistance of a team of leaders in the fields of cyber-crime, education, security, technology, psychology and philosophy, L.E.A.R.N. is applicable to various levels of student computer skills. The emphasis is on motivating the individual user to take responsibility for one's own online behavior. Always searching for ways to upgrade the program, CyberSpacers encourages you to contact us with any input.
L.E.A.R.N. is directed to the center-ring position schools now occupy
in making Internet use safe and rewarding for students and families.
"MOTIVATION" is the key to ethical behavior - whether online or not. Empowering students to be tech-savvy is only the first step. Learning how to operate a computer and negotiate the Internet is merely the mechanics of the vehicle. Kids who are motivated to make the right judgement calls will gain the most when online. Grades, trust and recognition have an impact. If you have any other brainstorms or thoughts on Internet motivation - share your ideas.
